Paper Weight Miniature Succulent

Finally the paper weight stone I ordered have arrived safely. It took more than 3 weeks to get these beautiful stones in hand. They are from Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia. I have to admit that I am not a fast clay crafter, so I managed only to make 6 paper weight variations. My mind was planning for like 10 or a dozen..but.it turned out that I am always occupied by some other works especially house works and I need my tea time, reading time, gadget time, going to mall time, etc...so...only five is done and two is already taken.

The succulents are made from Modena (Japanes air dry clay from Padico). I love this clay!!

You can add messages on the stone to make it more personalized. I used acrylic paint but marker is fine, too.

This one is a gift to one of my craft supplier. I painted her shop's logo on the stone. Hope she love it.

These beautiful paper weight are available for purchase on Zibbet and Etsy. If you live in Indonesia, you can purchase from our local online shop for local unique handmade Qlapa. Everything is written in Bahasa Indonesia.

If you wish to make your very own handmade paper weight succulent, we will have this workshop coming up in July 2016. I will update more details on the workshop page and also on my Instagram account as well as facebook. Or you can also email to daftar@wewocraft.com to receive a monthly schedule of any workshops. They conduct various interesting craft workshops. You can also check them out on their Instagram.

Have a nice day!

A special gift to a special person...a Teacher

Today is my son's last day in Nursery. He will be Kindergarten student next term...Now he can already write and spell his own name, counting from 1-50, and recognizing alphabet from A-Z without any problem including the phonic perfectly...proud of you my love ^^  Of course all that skills and knowledge doesn't happen in just one night, all thanks to the hardwork, patience and passion of his beloved teacher, the best teacher ever..Miss Vivian in Sunshine Kidz Preschool.

Thank You Teacher. You have turned Ethan from a zero knowledge and uncontrollable little boy into a responsible, smart and love to draw little boy. You have built all the positive characters in him.

Thank you again...I am sure Ethan is now more than ready for Kindergarten

As a mom and crafter, presenting my handmade is the best way to express my gratefulness. I believe handmade makes more meaningful gift.

Love for Succulents

Honestly I don't know all the name of the succulents or species, but I love looking at them. I made some miniatures of succulents 2 months ago for the Easter Bazaar and now I am making a slightly bigger size succulents to fit to daily use or just decoration.

As bagcharm these baby succulents look perfect ^^

I use Japanese air dry clay (Modena from Padico) to create these succulents you see in the pictures below. Modena is an air dry polymer clay and is water resistant. It comes in several colors and very easy to use. I love it... the finish result is almost the same as baked polymer clay, hard and strong.

I got this mini antique chair from Daiso shop, the shop that sells everything at one price and they have a lot of super cute stuff to support craft lover like me :)

I believe it is important to stay close to Nature and these tiny babies are perfect as paper weight on our working desk. No watering required, stays pretty the whole year round and as good as candy to our eyes.

Have a nice day ^^

Easter Bazaar Preparation (part 7)

Time flies...four more days to go!! I am so excited about the bazaar. I can't wait to display all my handmade on the booth. These few days we are working really hard to create more and more cute items for the bazaar. I said we, because it's a team work, not solely me. My husband, my sister in law, my son and me. We are working together. How do my 4 year-old-son help me? his smile of course ^^ he is my vitamin.

The making of Dadar Gulung

My sister in law was a great help to me...(sorry ignore the pillow behind ^^')

 Texturing the Dadar Gulung

Dadar Gulung is Indonesian traditional pancake. Instead of cream and maple syrup, Indonesian Pancake is filled with grated coconut and brown sugar. If any of you would have a chance to visit Indonesia, make sure you try this out. Exotic snack!

Easter Bazaar Preparation (part 6)

I will include some of my best seller miniature bag charm with assorted toppings for the upcoming Easter Bazaar on 3rd April 2016. This time I added more flavours such as mint ice cream and strawberry ice cream. Again, I collaborate with one of my favourite bagcharm online shop IG:Kirashoppe for the beadworks.

And look how beautiful her works are!!!
The amazing beads and crystals really enhance my miniature clay works

Of course not forgetting the packaging designed by my sister in law IG:Patriciaahilman, which I mentioned on my previous post. I really love the lace, the wooden pattern which match my box packaging and my favourite pink colour. Thank you so much dear Patris...and I am so sorry that you will have to put up with more requests from me >o< lol

After a week of refreshing making cute stuff, I am back to my project of miniature succulent. The materials for the nests have finally arrived!! Yeaay...thank you so much dear Alicia. If  you read my previous post, you will understand which nests I am talking about.

Here are the pictures ^^

I hope one day I could see the real succulents some place somewhere. All these time I made all the miniature succulents just based on the pictures I googled on the internet. In fact, I don't know their name at all...I feel so embarrassed :(( There are not many species of succulents I can find here :(

Anyway..To all friends that live in Jakarta, please come and spend a wonderful Easter Sunday with us on 3rd April 2016. A surprise giveaway will be given to one lucky visitor from taccraft (me)

See you there
